This year marks the 60th year of the GOOD DESIGN. Launched in 1957 to raise the standard of Japanese design, this program has grown into an international design award that seeks to identify each year’s trends in design around the globe and offer an opportunity to get together to think about the future. We are delighted to be holding the GOOD DESIGN EXHIBITION 2016, bringing together all of the award winning designs under one roof. All of the 1,200 award winning designs have a story to tell about their purpose and background. The exhibition, designers’ presentation, and workshop provide a chance to encounter these designs first hand and see what makes each one “good.” We hope that this will serve as a bridge to new creative endeavors.
Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who made this exhibition possible.
