Credible Designs

Since its opening in 2007, Tokyo Midtown Design Hub has connected people, activities and possibilities through design, expanding and nurturing the network. On the 5th anniversary, we strongly feel that the most needed factor in design today is "credibility" and "a sense of assurance in that specific design."
Our daily life is surrounded by shapes, colors, sounds, signs, brands, space, communication methods and all things that people created based on their concepts. They are, in fact, all different forms of design. We rely on design and its reliability is the base of our comfortable life and hopeful future.

"What kind of design do we put our trust in?
Why do we trust that specific design?"

Any design starts from consciousness, concept or point of view. In this exhibition, visitors can deepen their awareness of "credibility in design" through the creators' perspectives.
At the venue, 51 creators in design-related industries present their concepts of "credible design" with messages along with impressive illustrations by an artist. The visitors get to feel firsthand who believes in what kind of design. By questioning "what credible design is," we hope to shed light on different perspectives and give the opportunity to face the possibilities for "future of design."
