Tama Design High School

Tama Design High School, an event featuring a series of design lectures that anyone can attend for free, will be held at Tokyo Midtown Design Hub from Monday, November 27, 2023.

As an opportunity for learning that anyone can participate in, we will hold a lecture program by creators, educators, design researchers, and practitioners who are active in the forefront. We will provide an opportunity to learn about design from various perspectives under the theme of "Design talks for beginners" in a style similar to a high school class.

Tama Art University launched a new virtual university of design called "Tama Design University" in 2021. This time, as the 3rd time, the focus will be on learning design from the very basics. In addition to lectures at the venue, we will also stream via YouTube LIVE to make it an opportunity for learning that anyone can participate in.

During the lecture program period, an exhibition will also be held at the venue of Tokyo Midtown Design Hub. Visitors can have the opportunity to get to know tools used in art universities, which you don’t usually see, displayed along with familiar stationery items. Additionally, by seeing the production scenes and the latest lecture contents, you can learn how design and art are created. Whether you are currently studying in the school or have studied in the past, we look forward to seeing you at the venue with a school-like atmosphere.
